“Un Prophète” Official Trailer

Today I want to show you the trailer from the last movie of Jacques Audiard, with Tahar Rahim(Malik El Djebena), Niels Arestrup(César Luciani), Adel Bencherif(Ryad), Hichem Yacoubi(Reyeb), Reda Kateb(Jordi), Jean-Philippe Ricci(Vettori). This movie won several awards, one of them was The Grand Prix in Cannes.

Synopsis:
Set largely within prison walls, the film details the prison career of Malik el Djebena (Tahar Rahim), a 19-year-old man of North African origin but estranged from the Muslim community. Sentenced to six years for what appears to be violence against police (albeit denied by Malik), he is chosen by Cesar Luciani (Niels Arestrup), feared kingpin of the prisons reigning Corsican gang, to kill a prisoner named Reyeb (Hichem Yacoubi) who had initially offers Malik drugs in exchange for sex. Reyeb is in prison awaiting testifying against the mob. Malik commits the bloody murder, and thanks to Luciani’s near-total control of the prisons internal workings – gets off scot-free. This makes him a lieutenant in the prisons Corsican gang, initially entrusted only with menial duties and disparaged as an Arab outsider.

Haunted by visions of a ghostly Reyeb, and determined to get on, the illiterate Malik not only learns to read, but teaches himself Corsican, surreptitiously learning the ins and outs of Luciani’s business. Another inmate, Ryad (Adel Bencherif), becomes Malik’s friend, later his ally on the outside. When Luciani arranges periods of leave for Malik, entrusting him with various criminal missions, Malik takes the opportunity to do some business of his own, setting up a drugs trade with Ryad’s aid. Life gets increasingly dangerous for Malik, both inside and outside prison walls, but he seems partly through Reyeb’s benign, unearthly influence – to lead a charmed life. Powers of prophecy are attributed to him after surviving a bizarre car crash an incident presaged in an enigmatic fantasy sequence.

A good lighting option for a party

You have a party scheduled at the last minute to make your wedding invitations, that will happen on a terrace without good illumination. You are responsible for the illumination. What do you gonna do?

You’ll put candles everywhere, messing around with wax and risking a accident with fire? You will put some torches in an Hawaiian way and run the risk of them fall off at any time?

No, No, No. Don´t try to be a dangerous person, unless you want to delete one of your friends.Or if you want to ruining the party earlier to be alone with someone. To prevent any of this situation I will show you an object made by a famous designer that will help you in these moments.

MAYDAY is the name of the portable lamp invented by Konstantin Grcic, that was the winner of the Compasso d`Oro award in 2001, a prestigious design award, an useful and versatil object. As his creator said:

“I designed the MAYDAY lamp to be a tool. It has a practical handle which incorportates the ON/OFF switch and two spikes to wind up the 5 meter long cable. A big hook on the end of the handle comes in helpful to install the lamp wherever needed (…) MAYDAY is not designed for anywhere in specific.”

As you see, there are better options for illuminate your parties. Ok,i t could be more expensive than other options, but isn´t all days that you can have a illumination with some class in the preparation of your wedding.

MAYDAY, MAYDAY!!!

MAYDAY, MAYDAY!!!

The importance of credit report.

Loans can be dangerous to our financial life. Everyone knows that loans are one of the biggest businesses in the world. We can count by our fingers the number of people that never made a loan. It can facilitate things in our lifes, but it can do the opposite. If we forget some payment or some unexpected occurs like an accident, a medical need, and other kind of unexpected situations.

The other thing we need to be attent when we have a loan is the free credit report. Now I´m always attent to my free credit report online, to don´t have any surprise.

I´m saying this because one time I´ve had problems in get a loan and the reason for the bank denial was my credit story. I said to them impossible I always paid my bills and credits. I didn´t understand the reason until I checked my credit history and saw that a credit card was the reason for this situation, all because a credit card I never used. Now I made always my free credit report.

How to stop the drought on agriculture

If you have problems with the drought on agriculture I will give you an way to stop with that, and for sure that you will have the best crops that you ever had.
It will be even difficult for you to believe in such crops, with the best cereals that you ever eaten, and the more colorful fruits that you have ever seen. It will be really dificult to believe.

For doing what I´m talking about you will not need pesticides, cow crap,or buy some water for have a good crop. And if you choose the solution of buying water, will be more expensive than buying your cereals, vegetables or fruits in supermarket.

There are other reason to not buy water for your agriculture. I´m talking about the environment, with my idea you can save some water, and preserve the environment. And that is a nice way of being a good person to the world and to other people, and for you too.

So, my method is quite simple:

1ª-You need the biggest number of people that you can put together, in your farm, garden, whatever you have for your agriculture, and some Phone Cards to invet them by phone
2º-You have to rent or buy a screen and movie projector. if you don´t have a screen and a projector, you can use a television
3º-(optional) pop corn.
4º-Buying or rent the movie “Dancer in the Dark” from Lars von Trier with Björk, Catherine Deneuve, David Morse.
5º-The last one, for precaution you need some rubber boats.

If you do that you will have water for all your life. you can believe in what I´m saying. I almost drowned myself last time I saw the movie with my girlfriend.

“Séraphine”

Some days ago I went to cinema to see the movie “Seraphine”. The movie is about the life of a French painter
Séraphine Louis, best known as Séraphine de Senlis. Her artwork together with the artworks from other artists like Rousseau formed the naif style.

She never studied art. She belongs from a poor family and began to work as a sheperdess, later starts working in housekeeping.

This job will have a major importance in her carrier, because the destiny will make possible that Wilhelm Uhde see her paintings when she works as his housekeeper. For Wilhelm was an amazing discovery because he didn´t know about her paintings.

The reason for his ignorance about that, was the fact of Séraphine make her paintings secretly isolated during the night after her arduous day job. Wilhelm was astonished when he discovered the author of these exotic paintings with intensive colours, and starts to finance Séraphine to stop working as housekeeper and work only in her paintings.

Many things happened during their lives, some due to the character of Séraphine, others because of the First World War, that hindered her carrier.
During her life she never got to know the success of her artworks.

In the movie Yolande Moreau is Séraphine, and she makes an extraordinary role. You´ve got to see this movie. It´s an amazing story. This movie won several César Awards, seven Césars, including best film and best actress.

Reality, simulation and fiction

Last week in my town happened an French cinema festival and I´ve been there. Initially I thought this festival probably would be boring, but this didn´t happen. The reason of this was the movie that I saw, Demain dès l’aube (Tomorrow at Dawn)from the director Denis Decourt, with brilliant actors, such as Vincent Perez, Jérémie Rénier, Aurélien Recoing, Anne Marivin, Fredericksburg TX, Françoise Lebrun, Gérald Laroche and Barbara Probst.

The principal characters are two brothers, Paul (Jérémie Rénier) and is old brother Mathieu (Vincent Perez), the story unfolds from the Paul’s passion for historical battles and encounters of faithful recreation of these battles. The phantasy starts to overcome reality in Paul´s mind and his brother is worried about it.
Mathieu will try to strip him out of this parallel world where he blends reality and fiction, to complete this mission he will need to enter in this world too.

Paul´s companions of the recreations have the same problem as him, with the efforts of is brother to take him out of this dangerous game some conflicts will emerge between them. The companions´s revenge will be crucial for the health state of their mother getting worst. With that horrible act from his companions Paul sees that he and the others are mixing reality and fiction and moves away from the games.

This kind of things are always happenning in our lives and we have to be aware for not mixing reality and fiction.

The importance of logo

Any good company, international company, or even a small business can be the best in their business field, but if they don´t have a good appearence it doesn´t work. When i say good appearence I´m talking about the logo. The logo design is very important and for that you need a good designer. All big companies like Nike, Coca-cola, Microsoft, Mcdonalds, Shell, Google and others have great designers doing their logos. They do that because they know the importance of logo as the company image.

I have been searching for some logos in the internet and I found a interesting work made by “Logo Design Guru” company. They make great logos, you should see their site. If someday I have a business, I will talk with them to make the image of my company.

U2 concerts, the hardest-to-get tickets!

Everyone likes to go at a good concert, with a fantastic band. Nowadays we can see a lot of fantastic bands, but a fantastic band with a great show isn´t so easy to see. I have seen good concerts in my life but some of them were simply extraordinary. All of them with good bands, but today be a good musician isn´t enough to give a good show. It´s necessary have empathy, charisma, style, a good stucture behind the band and sometimes even fireworks.

We can find a few bands with these qualities I´ve said, U2, Madonna, Bjork, Metallica, Rolling Stones and a few more, but like all good things in life, it can be hard to obtain a ticket. Who doesn´t have saw the queues bigger than Eiffel tower for buy some tickets? Some of them sleep on the door of the store for being the firsts at the selling queue. One time, I thought in stay at the queue for two days to buy the hardest tickets that ever existed on earth, the U2 Tickets.

I have never found in my life something so hard to get, more difficult than have a top model girlfriend, but has I said I just thought in it, I didn´t sleep in the street, because I found a amazing website that helped me find the tickets for U2 concert. Next time, I will go straight to this website, I don´t need to think about sleep in the street to get some tickets

This is not just pratice.

Why do you think Michael Jackson is better than other pepople in the moonwalk? First he invented this dance step and some variations of it, and because of that he do it a lot more times than anyone.

This could be a good reason but the most important was not the pratice but the Dance Shoes. Yes the dance shoes! it is like paint a realistic painting with a stone or with a brush!

This shoes are made purposely for dance, so they can be elastic and at the same time strong, the outsole is design to be resistant yet flexible.

Without them Michael will not make the moonwalk like a pinguim sliding in the ice.

Modern antiques

I saw in a online lighting shop, this beautiful chandelier. It is designed in a old fashion way, most precisely European. When I saw this Salamanca five light chandelier I thought it was Art Déco, but later I understand that it was made recently.

Antichrist, Antinature.

Have you seen the last movie from the self-proclaimed biggest director in the world, Lars Von Trier? The same director from “Dancer in the dark”, “Breaking the Waves”, “The Idiots”, “Europa” or “Dogville”. If you haven´t saw you must see, it´s not easy watch this film but it is an spectacular masterpiece.

The story is about the grieving of a couple (Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe), after lose their son, the plot of the film is made up of a Prologue, four chapters and an Epilogue. The four chapters are “Grief”, “Pain(Chaos Reigns)”, “Despair (Gynocide)” and “The Three Beggars”.

The film starts with the couple losing their son that falls out the window while they have sex in the other room. After the death of her son the mother is in the hospital suffering, and her husband, a therapist, brings her to home intent on treating her depression himself.
Her husband thinks the best treatment is confronting her with her fears. He dicover that her fears come from a cabin in the woods, “Éden”, where something untold happened when she stayed there last summer. They decide to stay there, and during the treatment emerged some events that explore the dark side of nature outside and within, that produces strange and terrifying acts of cruelty.

The critics had different opinions about the film, some said that was amazing, others said it was ridiculous. However Lars Von Trier was nominated to the golden palm and Charlotte Gainsbourg won the award for Best Actress in Cannes.

Cinema´s evolution, Home Theater Projectors

Go to the cinema today isn´t the same thing that a few years ago. Fifty years ago people didn´t have television and there weren´t so many new movies every week like now. Cinemas had one or two movies in exibition for two weeks or more, and now cinemas have between eight to twenty movies with new ones coming out every week.

People used to see many times the same movie, and now we don´t like to see more than once. Probably the reason for this is the imense world of movies that we have. It´s true that now exist an huge list of bad movies too, and nobody want to see them more than once.

Everything is in constante mutation, and cinema too. First the black and white films, second the sound,in third place colour. Then the digital cameras and all technic evolution, the filmstrip and later to the videotapes, the dvd´s and now the blueray. The dvd´s takes less time to be on sale after the presentation of the movies in the cinema, and we can buy it for a few dollars, sometimes see the movie in the cinema is more expensive than buying it.

But for me the most incredible invention was the Home Theater Projectors, because this equipment aren´t too expensive. With this equipment we can see movies when we want, at any hour or any place, with the same quality and with a big screen like in cinema.

Now cinema is different, it´s in your home. Perhaps the cinema´s market will change with this invention.

Damien Hirst skull, death and vanity

Have you already seen the skull made by damien hirst? If you didn´t saw, you should see.

Why you should see? There are many and various reasons to see his work. Because it´s the most expensive work of art ever sold in all art history. Because it can be an extraordinary art work. Because some people say that Damien is one of the biggest artist in our time, and other people say that his works are not art.

Why some people say that his work is not art? The reason for these accusations being made are the materials used by Damien in his works. He uses some animals and things like that in his works. But if we think about his work, we will see that his subject is about death and vanity.

And the skull that I was talking at the begining it´s all encrusted with diamonds, and in this work he put us thinking about vanity, and how people even when they die, they continue with their vanity. It´s as if we had pride in being alive,it´s like a way to celebrate life.

If what he does is art or not? I don´t want to say no or yes. But the true is that his work puts us to think about death and in vanity, and the most important, in the art market.

Gerard Richter´s stained glass window for the Cologne cathedral

Gerard Richter is one of the most expensive artists of our time and he deserve it. Why? He is one of the most important artist for the art of our days.
His works reflected about all subjects in painting in a spectacular way, like Picasso did in his time. His work is immense and has a wide range of variety and imagination.

So, I want to share with you a funny case about richter´s work, about the work that he made to the Cologne cathedral. He was invited to make a stained glass window to substitute the old one that was destroyed in World War II.

He used the same idea of his series of works “colour charts” for the stained glass window, that appear to be abstract paintings but, in reality, they are figurative paintings. The catholic religion don´t accept the abstract images, their ideology defend the figurative images. The muslims believe in the opposite, they don´t have faith in figurative images. They refuse the materialization of their saints.

Under these assumptions, Cardinal Joachim Meisner has been critical of richter´s stained glass window, and reportedly would have preferred a more traditionally figurative subject, he also said that Richter´s work seemed more fit for a mosque.

With these pronounced words, Joachim Meisner shows his few knowledge about art, about art subjects, and the most important, about the art made by the artist hired by the Catholic church to do the stained glass.

Can we talk about abstract painting in our days?
