In the last days I didn´t sleep like I should sleep. Something is bothering me, and i don´t know what.

It can be because of my dreams, that aren´t really nice in the last times. Sometimes they are similars with David Lynch movies, like in “Lost Highway” or something like that.In other days they are similars with “Shinning” from Stanley Kubrick.I don´t know if it can also be because of my health state or bed bugs, if the food that I´m eating last times is making some kind of disturb in my body. Or my mattress is simply really bad.

The true is that i can´t sleep and I don´t know why, and I have to find a solution. maybe, i should see more romantics movies, with beautiful girls, to dreaming with the girls like Angelina Jolie(the best one), Monica Bellucci, Scarlett Johansson (also the best one), Charlize Theron, Milla Jovovich, the dangerous Uma Thurman, the always beautiful Nicole Kidman or with Catherina Zeta Jones. Instead of dreaming with the crazy Jack Nicholson. A medical check-up also would be a good solution.

Or, maybe I should simply get a new mattress, and this would resolve my problems, during my bad nights.

Do you already seen some ship´s camouflage? If you never seen it, I will show you some for the first time in your life. I´m given such importance to this matter, because as you will see in this pictures below, this camouflage have something to do with fashion.

Yes fashion, why? Because in fashion people try to camouflage who they really are, and the fashion designers try to input is ideals to other people. In War what happens is the same thing, who starts fighting is trying to
input their ideals to others. But who they are really fighting are themselves, the person that they don´t want to be.

Returning to the ship´s camouflage, this habit was most developed in the second World War, and were made several studies about the visual impact of that kind of camouflage in the vision of the enemy. In the meanwhile this ideia of ship´s camouflage was already used by romans. Some of the camouflage were made to wide the ship, others to induce the enemy in error in the moment they fire against them, others are a little bit ridiculous and absurd. But all of them even the most ridiculous are beautiful and adorable.

Some of them I think we can said, are artworks. They are almost a conceptual artwork.

When we think about the ideas of Walter Benjamin and Andre Malraux, we find that they have different ideas regarding the reception of works of art.

However, disagreeing in some things and being in agreement with others in relation to the ideas of this two, the truth is that being confronted with situations implied with this ideas, we can´t sometimes disagree with them.

And I say this because I feel this about the work of English artist Banksy. I say this because I saw most of his work through photographs and I created an idea of his work, and when in a visit to Liverpool I came across with his work and I noticed a difference in be facing a art object and see this work in photos.

And about the work that I realized what Benjamin said, noting that the work of Bansky fell better in his urban support than I thought. But I realized to what Andre Malraux spoke in his “imaginary museum” realizing that the viewing of objects in an indirect way creates in us another parallel reality.  Making the two theories valid in its own way.

This small moment of reading,that I present to you, is about a book that I think very important to try to understand some social phenomena that surround us, and sometimes we see those phenomenas in the opposite way.

This book is “Discourse on Voluntary Servitude” by Etienne la Boetie written in 1552 when he was 18, demonstrating how and with regard to issues of voluntary servitude, we still with eyes closed, for those who have over 500 years of history than boetie in this matters.

Boetie demonstrating in his examples how he is sensitive to capture in simple and complicated things in life forms of oppression. And forms we participate in this oppression by those who always want more power.
His speech has helped us to be more lucid and I hope that continues to make more people more lucid in these issues. I suggest you reading this book.
